Interactive Museum
Mrs. House's class had been studying Rocks, Minerals and Fossils. They held an interactive museum on January 27 where the students actually taught other Slaybaugh student's a science lesson. Slaybaugh students had the opportunity to make a fossil, mine for gold, make a volcano, and check out rocks and sand under magnifying glasses. Mrs. House's class worked on a power point presentation that continuously played about what the boys and girls had learned.
Olympics
The Slaybaugh School is ready for the Olympics!!! The first and second graders have been working on lessons associated with the Olympics. The main hallway has many different aspects of the Olympics displayed. With the help of Mrs. Nardone, Torino was brought to Slaybaugh School. We held our own Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics on Friday, February 10th.
Valentines to the Troops
The boys and girls of Slaybaugh sent heartwarming Valentine's to our troops serving overseas. The children also sent our soldiers some chocolate treats!
