SWIFT (Feb 2006)

We are collecting the following:

· Campbell’s Soup Labels

· Box Tops for Education

· Ink Cartridges

· Soda tabs for Ronald McDonald House

Students enjoyed 2 assemblies entitled "Circus Follies" and No Bullying - Character Education during the month of January.
Students have an full calendar in February.
* Jan 31- Feb 1, 7, 8th PJ Story Time - Students and teachers  wore their PJ's read a pre-selected book, completed a craft and were treated to juice and cookies.
* Feb 9th- "The Kids on the Block" assembly taught the children about brain injuries and safety awareness through the use of an interactive puppet show.
* Feb 27th - Cross Age Reading - 1st and 2d graders will read to PK and K students in pairs or in small groups.
*Feb 28th - Author visit- Pat Brisson will read to the children and discuss the process of writing a book. The children will have the opportunity to purchase Pat Brisson's books. Pricing went home earlier this month.

Coming in March
*March 1st- Wacky Wednesday - Dress your wackiest!
*March 2nd- Dr. Seuss' Birthday - Wear your Cat in the Hat hat!
*March 3rd- Wear your favorite character T-shirt/sweatshirt; Dr. Seuss  Bingo (1st grade before  lunch) (2nd grade after lunch)
