‘Punctuality’ was the word of the month. Teachers and students worked hard to exercise punctuality.
The High School Proficiency Assessment and the Terra Nova Test were administered on March 7, 8, and 9. Ms. Samantha Elko organized and coordinated the testing schedule, teacher coverage and relief. Her efforts contributed to a successful and productive testing week. During testing, our seniors participated in Senior Olympics in the gymnasium. The Class of ’06 enjoyed the activities and the opportunity to get acquainted with one another.
Over five hundred tickets were sold for the Black and Silver Ball that was held on March 4. Ms. Wendy Arthur and the African American Society worked hard to plan this event.
The principal’s High Honors Breakfast was held on Monday, March 13. Students who earned straight A’s for the second marking period were honored. Parents, teachers and administrators were present.
The sophomore Ring Ceremony was held on March 27. Sophomores who purchased rings, along with their parents, were invited to participate in the festivities. Mrs. Gruccio presented each student with their ring. Class advisors,
Mrs. Rice and Mrs. DiMaio, organized this event.
On March 30, Mrs. Gruccio was presented a check from the Target store in Mays Landing. Their ‘Take Charge of Education’ program donates 1% of purchases to EHTHS designated by their guests who participate in the program. Parents, teachers, and community members are encouraged to get involved and support our school.
