Dr. Heery started his Superintendent’s Report of the August 12, 2008

Board of Education (BOE) meeting by stating that the school will open on time Sept. 3rd.

(Wed, the 3rd and Thurs. the 4th will be on early closing schedule, except for Kindergarten students who will be on a regular schedule, and Fri will be the 1st full day for all students.)  Contingency plans, if they are needed, have been made to accommodate any problems at the High School which as he stated “will be inconvenient for staff and students but will only be temporary” The paving of the parking area of the High School was delayed slightly due to the weather but started on the 13th. He went on to say that the packet of information was mailed and should have been received by the time parents/guardian(s) are reading this. Contact your student’s school if the packet with the bus passes, schedules for Middle and High school students, school calendar, etc has not been received.

If you haven’t joined the HSA, please do so now. Why is it important? Without members, our organization is in danger of dying off and the programs we support such as Summer Enrichment Program, Project Graduation, these Current article, etc, with it. Click onto our web site, www.ehthsa.com, and then on the membership information link. It’s free to join and if you have High School Seniors, then you must be a member in order for your student to qualify for the HSA scholarship.
